Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the oldest and leading player in the insurance sector, has shortlisted four agencies to handle its creative and media duties. RK Swamy BBDO, Mudra, JWT and Draftfcb Ulkahe have come out on top of the pitch process which began in September last year where agencies were asked to give a presentation on their credentials and strategy for the brand.
The four agencies will now pitch for the creative duties for various products under the LIC umbrella as and when the company needs to advertise.
It is believed that LIC is looking at spending about Rs 250 crore this year on its advertising plans which will encompass television, print, radio, digital and below-the-line activities.
