Seoul : Hill & Knowlton (H&K) has been appointed by LG Display Co., Ltd. as its global public relations agency of record. Effective immediately, H&K’s responsibilities include strategic messaging and campaign planning as well as execution for LG Display corporate and product communication.
With considerable B2C and B2B experience in the technology sector globally, H&K was an attractive choice for the Seoul-based display maker as it looks to unify its global communication strategies in an increasingly competitive market.
H&K’s broad but tight-knit global network, with 83 offices in 45 countries, was cited as another key factor in its bid. The account will be based in its Korean office, Synergy Hill & Knowlton, and comprise H&K China and San Francisco offices initially. These offices will work directly with LG Display headquarters while supporting LG Display’s local subsidiaries as needed.
HS Chung, President and CEO of Hill & Knowlton Korea commented on H&K’s selection: “This is an exciting time for the industry with new technologies such as 3D television poised to dramatically shift both the electronics and media landscapes. Through our network, we are pleased to offer our new client all our expertise and experience in helping to share its compelling story with the world.”
BS Lee, Senior VP of LG Display commented: “We were impressed by Hill & Knowlton’s understanding of the current environment and its creative vision for how we can achieve and exceed our PR goals. We look forward to working closely together as we strengthen our business in the coming years.”
