Ms Greeshma Jos and Mr Ganesh Nayak of Leo Burnett, Mumbai were adjudged the winners in the national creative initiative taken by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and supported by THE TIMES GROUP.
Announcing the result of AAAI-Cannes Young Lions Creative Competition 2011, Vinod Nair, convener of this Competition stated, “THE TIMES GROUP and Advertising Agencies Association of India are giving a rare opportunity to young creatives in India to participate in Cannes Lions and compete with the very best young talent in the world”.
In all 165 entries on the theme ‘Don’t Bribe. Follow Rules’ were received. In the two-phased judging, Mr Josy Paul, Chairman and National Creative Director, BBDO India; Ms Tista Sen, Sr Vice President & Executive Creative Director, Creative Head, JWT, Mumbai were jury members.
It is a matter of pride that the Leo Burnett team which AAAI has selected through this Competition will be the official Indian team to take part in the Young Lions Creative Competition 2011 at Cannes Lions. The winning team will be flying off to the Cannes Advertising Festival in June to participate in the prestigious International Young Lions Creative Competition. THE TIMES GROUP, the Official Festival Representatives of Cannes in India, will bear all the expenses of the wining teams’ trip to Cannes.
Runner-up team was Mr Nishant Shah, Copywriter and Ms Neeta Srikanth, Art Director of Publicis Ambience, Bangalore.
