On Saturday all the fun DID lie behind the doors of the Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM studio in Mumbai as the hot Bollywood beauty; Lara Dutta visited India’s hottest radio station.
Lara spoke to RJ Suren and interacted with listeners on Radio Mirchi’s evening drive time show – Sunset Samosa. She spoke about her latest film to be released – ‘Do Knot Disturb’, her character of a naïve supermodel called Dolly in the movie, her experience of working with another Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen and her forte which she believes lies in comedy films.
“People praise me for my comic timing and how well I do in comedy films, but they don’t know that I AM a very funny person, I love laughing and making people laugh, This genre is what I enjoy the most, specially with co stars like Chichi (Govinda) who is such a natural, I had an absolute blast working with him” said a bubbly Lara.
Lara, a former beauty queen is amongst the very few Miss India’s who went on to win the Miss Universe title. Lara started her career in Bollywood with Andaaz which was a box office success. She has since then always been in the limelight for her light hearted roles in movies like No entry and Masti.
The music of Do Knot Disturb can be heard on Radio Mirchi – 98.3 FM. The film is directed by renowned comedy director David Dhawan and is a zany comedy of errors. A filthy rich businessman (Govinda) married to a beautiful and sophisticated woman (Sushmita Sen) tries to hide his extramarital affair with a supermodel (Lara Dutta). To save his skin, he bribes his friend, a waiter (Ritesh Deshmukh) into pretending to be the supermodel’s boyfriend. What follows is a series of mistaken identities and misunderstandings, culminating in one mammoth laugh riot.
