Premium French Lifestyle brand, Lacoste, unveiled its Autumn Winter 2007 collection for the season in India. The collection designed by Christophe Lemaire, Creative Director for Lacoste, draws inspiration from seventies of Paris, its winter and a classic French weekend by the sea or in the countryside, where the characters curl up and cuddle in front of roaring fires and take long walks fueled by witty conversation and subtle flirtation.
For her, the collection takes the sporty chic of Lacoste to new levels. With glossy padded jackets, knitted kimono coats, micro duffle coats and even a fresh twin-set sweater mini-dress combination lighten up the women wear this season. The collection begins with the themes of Quimper, Sorbonne and Active for early winters and then move to Club 1re ligne and Lima for late winter wear and then Bridge for late winter early spring.
Quimper a sailors theme takes inspiration from a beautiful town in Southwestern France and has a beautiful blend of Sangria Pink, Vendange, Saphire blue and eclipse, all of them mixed poudre. Sorbonne is again a beautiful theme inspired by Sorbonne student wear in the seventeen having soft colours for close cut silhouettes. Active is a sports theme inspired by sports by making its presence felt by higly graphic design with a sports wear feel.
For him, Lacoste proposes lean silhouettes with slim-fit jeans and corduroy trousers as well as jackets. According to Lacoste fashion forecast, a contemporary cardigan with suede piping, leather buttons and faux sheepskin collar is the must-have in a men’s wardrobe. The collection begins with Quimper, Golf, Active, Tennis and Frisco for early winter and moves to Club House, Lima for late winters and then to Bridge for late winter early spring. Quimper a nautical theme in menswear takes inspiration from the color blocks as deep as the northern seas.
Frisco takes inspiration from American sportswear of the sixties in San Francisco and is a “Frozen” range of colours that bring back winters in contemporary theme with shades of grey. Golf theme is designed using a universe of colours to identify with golfers who swear by the brand. And theme Active takes inspiration from Rolland Garros and Lacoste champions Andy Roddick and Richard Gasquet.
The fall winter 2007 collection which explores a more luxurious town and country side of the brand is available at all Lacoste outlets across the country within the price range of INR1899 – 21000.
