Erik Huggers, the BBC’s Director of Future Media & Technology (FM&T), has appointed Kerstin Mogull to the newly-created role of Chief Operating Officer, FM&T, it was announced on Monday.
Kerstin will focus on the effective management and governance of the division, its partnership with other BBC divisions – Vision, Audio & Music and Journalism – and its relationship with the BBC Trust.
She takes up her position immediately, and reports to Erik Huggers.Kerstin Mogull was previously Deputy Director, Policy & Strategy where she played an instrumental role in driving the BBC’s strategy for content across all media platforms.
Prior to this, she was Controller for the Strategy Group, where she was responsible for some of the Corporation’s most important initiatives, including Delivering Creative Future.
Erik Huggers says: “Kerstin brings with her a wealth of experience in organisational and strategic thinking from right across the BBC to what is a critical new role.
“Her appointment allows us to build strong governance and real coherence across the Future Media and Technology portfolios, as well as managing our relationship with the Trust – which is key to the success of our division.”
