Mark Pacchini, president of Draftfcb Asia Pacific, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Allard as the agency’s regional chief financial officer, effective July 4.
Allard was most recently regional finance director and South/Southeast Asia CFO for Aegis Media Asia Pacific, where he has worked for the past two years. Prior to Aegis, Allard was regional finance director for Draftfcb Asia Pacific and Africa from 2005 to 2009.
“We have first-hand knowledge of the high standards of professionalism and leadership that Jonathan brings to an agency network,” said Pacchini. “His track record here is already exemplary. He addressed many of the challenges in evolving our financial reporting and outcomes from 2000 to 2005, and remains a principal architect of the highly efficient and effective financial platforms we have in the region today. We are thrilled he is returning to Draftfcb.”
Prior to Allard’s appointment, Draftfcb’s regional finance operations had reported to chief financial officer Nagesh Alai, who also served a dual role as CFO of Draftfcb + Ulka’s booming operations in India.
“With India being one of Draftfcb’s nine strategic hub markets, and with that country’s trajectory moving so quickly, Nagesh will now focus primarily on our dynamic and growing agencies in the Ulka portfolio—businesses that are already such a star in their own market as well as within our global network. He and our Indian operations will report directly into our worldwide headquarters,” said Neil Miller, global CFO at Draftfcb.
Added Pacchini, “Nagesh has handled a challenging and complex financial portfolio with true insights and leadership. In the process, he has consistently worked to support and drive our financial and operational progress in Asia Pacific; we appreciate all his efforts and his continued contributions to our network’s success.”
Allard joins Draftfcb Asia Pacific on July 4 and will be based in Singapore. He will report jointly to Mark Pacchini and Neil Miller.
