New Delhi : Jagran Engage, the outdoor arm of Jagran Prakashan Limited has been happily busy for the entire summers. With the series of outdoor launches happening every month, the agency is buzzing with activity.

Commenting on the developments, Pawan Bansal, Vice-President, Jagran Engage said, “We have had series of campaign wins over a period of last 6 months or so and it’s been quite a “cool” summers for us in terms of business.” Elaborating further he said, “It all started with the launch of Dettol Fresh and since then, we have executed campaigns for clients such as Usha Fans, IIPM, Castrol, Britannia, News 24, JK Business School, Titan – Xylus, Titan – Fastrack, MoonUp InfoTech, JP Cements, Lifestyle, Air France Max New York Life Insurance, Max Vijay, LIC, British Council, Pepsi among many others. What has been pleasing is that all our branches have contributed towards this and it has been an all round performance by our sales and operations team. On our media front, we have received tremendous support from almost all outdoor specialist agencies and we appreciate that they have found value in our media nationally”.

Pawan further adds, “We had a pretty ordinary outing during December to February period wherein our sales were affected due to clients slashing their budgets or postponing their campaigns as a fallout of economic slowdown. However, we utilized that period to work and pitch for various businesses and the result is there for everyone to see. This period saw a series of presentations and pitches to various clients and what was heartening to see that one of our relatively small branch in Aligarh also contributing by winning a sizeable account of MoonUp Infotech with a substantial presence in many parts of the country. We have also focused very hard on providing creative and innovative solutions to our clients and agencies as it’s been our constant Endeavour to break the boundaries of traditional formats and provide clutter breaking concepts. We have recently implemented innovative ideas for our client Punjab National Bank wherein their logo was projected out of our glow cubes in Mumbai. The projected logo was made backlit for added impact during night. Similarly, for our client Castrol, we illuminated the product and the new technology through neon. The happy father-son duo has been also depicted through a glow box”

During this period, the agency has also launched a high decibel campaign for Dainik Jagran newspaper. The newspaper has used outdoors extensively in Northern India covering 30 major cities in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. Jagran Engage has used a range of outdoor formats comprising mix of hoardings, unipole, pole kiosks, bus shelters, neon signages, branding at dhabas on highways, gantries, IHP on highways and ‘mandir’ boards. Throwing light on this campaign, Pawan informs, “Our strategy for the newspaper is not limited to traditional outdoor formats only. Given the fact that the newspaper is quite popular in the Hindi-speaking belt, we have identified permanent branding opportunities going beyond the top towns and have actually branded series of ambient and new media formats in Tier II and III towns. With this, we are confident to provide best of the services in smaller towns as well.”

The agency has been focusing on key segments like Education, Automobile, FMCG, Media, Financial Services and Infrastructure sectors. Pawan informs, “We have identified some of the emerging sectors as our growth drivers and we are quite happy to be present among most of them. We feel that our experience, team and our ready infrastructure would be of great benefit for them. To go with that, we have proven systems in place and these would definitely be of value for them.”
