IPC Inspire today announces the launch of a new video channel on trustedreviews.com. The series of video reviews offers increased opportunities to advertisers and complement the website’s authoritative written product reviews. Soft launched this week , the videos are already attracting users’ comments and boosting page impressions.
Editor Riyad Emeran says: “Video content adds to TrustedReviews’ already broad appeal, giving consumers even more information about each product, and making that all important buying decision even easier.
“Video allows us to show aspects of certain products or technologies that are hard to convey in words and pictures, thus giving consumers an even better understanding of each device. We’ve had a great response so far with the reviews generating lots of discussion from our users.”
The channel was designed, developed and integrated onto the website by developer Rich Taylor and publishing manager Geoff Richards and will see three to four videos posted per week.
General manager Niall Clarkson added: “In line with our ambition to continuously improve user experience, the introduction of video reviews is the latest in a series of developments made to trustedreviews.com since its acquisition by IPC Media in October 2007. Video reviews naturally complement the existing TrustedReviews proposition, and research and early feedback suggest it is already a very popular evolution of the site’s review format.”
