INX Media Announces New Appointments

INX Media has announced the appointments of Pawan Jailkhani and Rahul Shaw as Senior Vice Presidents, Advertising Sales .Pawan Jailkhani has joined INX Media as Senior Vice President – Advertising Sales. He will be responsible for driving the revenue function of the mega Hindi General Entertainment Channel – 9X.

Commenting on Pawan’s appointment, Probal Gaanguly, Group Director, Revenue Management,Advertising Sales and New Media, INX Media, said, “I welcome Pawan to the INX Advalue Team. It has been an exciting experience since the Channel’s launch 8 months ago and 9X has clearly managed to create an enviable position in the highly competitive GEC genre. A 15 year professional of television Ad Sales, Pawan is a veteran of the industry in this country. He spent more than 12 years with Zee Group, during which time he gained extensive experience and achieved a number of successes as the channel went through various phases.

Pawan will be based in Mumbai and will be reporting to Probal Gaanguly.

Rahul Shaw has also joined INX News as Senior Vice President – Advertising Sales. He will be responsible for driving the revenue function of the English news channel, NewsX, and the other upcoming channels from INX News. Rahul moves from NDTV Imagine where he was Sr Vice President – Ad Sales.

Commenting on his appointment, Vynsley Fernandes, COO, INX News said, “Rahul has a wide experience of handling advertising sales across several genres in print and television. He has proven expertise of driving revenue growth in start ups as well as building and leading strong sales teams. We are delighted to have him on board.”

Rahul started his career with Bennett & Coleman specializing in concept selling in the print media. He moved to Turner International where he handled HBO, Cartoon Network and CNN. Thereafter he joined SET India to manage revenue for their English language channels. He later moved to STAR India where he held various leadership roles in the sales function. In his last assignment at NDTV Imagine, Rahul was responsible for heading the frontline sales for all the channels under the umbrella of Imagine.

Rahul will be based in Delhi and will be reporting to Vynsley Fernandes.
