New Delhi : In preparing for its imminent transformation to IMN News, NewsX has announced the appointment of Diptosh Majumdar as its Editorial Director. He will be based in NewsX’s Noida office and spearhead channel’s newsroom operations.
Commenting on his new role, Diptosh Majumdar, Editorial Director, NewsX said, “I am really excited to take on this new role. NewsX is already doing some of the best journalism on TV and as it morphs into IMN News we will set the bar for ourselves even higher”.
Diptosh Majumdar has an illustrious career in journalism, having held senior positions at leading print and electronic media house. Prior to joining NewsX, Diptosh was the National Affairs Editor at CNN IBN and had been part of the core team that started the channel in 2005. He has also worked with The Telegraph and Indian Express.

Diptosh’s joining News X will add to the channel’s long list of distinguished editors and journalists, including Ayaz Memon, Saeed Naqvi and Seema Mustafa. News X also has some of the TV news industry’s best young talents. A team of them recently won the News Documentary Award of the year, for a path breaking documentary titled – ‘On Thin Ice’ at the Indian News Broadcasting Awards.
IMN News is the new brand identity that the premier English news channel NewsX will soon assume. The new look of the channel will be unveiled soon, and be accompanied with a similarly redesigned website, IPTV service and mobile TV.
