IDEA Cellular, one of the leading telecom operators in the country, in association with HIT 95 FM has announced a mega, high octane, on-air talent hunt program, which will culminate with a live, on-stage performance in front of a huge crowd in Delhi. IDEA and HIT 95 FM will not only give an opportunity to contestants to present their vocal power amidst the Delhi audience, but also a lifetime chance to win an all expenses paid trip to London for the upcoming concert of pop legend Michael Jackson in July 2009.
IDEA’s ‘The Michael Jackson This Is It Challenge’ will kick off with a Call for Entries in the form of teasers, entry promos, trivia capsules, shock jocks, jock mentions and tune-ins, inviting listeners of HIT 95 FM to exhibit their singing prowess on-air. The participants will sing their favourite Michael Jackson record on the IVRS for a duration of 30 secs. HIT 95 FM jury will select the best performers and run their promos on-air, requesting Delhi listeners to vote for their favorite singer.
Five short listed participants chosen by the listeners will be invited to the Radio Station to sing for the listeners and get voted for their performance. Three finalists will then be selected for a performance at a high voltage, on ground show amidst a huge gathering of Delhites at The Sports Bar, Gurgaon, on 28th June 2009.
Additionally, IDEA subscribers interested in participating in the Contest will get a special chance to be able to ‘Jump the Queue’ and head straight for the final selection, without undergoing the first round of selection process.
‘The Michael Jackson This Is It Challenge’ presented by IDEA is expected to be high-octane rock show where contestants will get a chance to pay tribute to The King of Pop by singing their favourite song from Michael Jackson’s albums. Two best performers of the show, adjudged by judges and audience will get an all expenses paid trip for two, for the Michael Jackson Concert coming up in London in July 2009.
