New Delhi: IBN7 is back with the second edition of Zindagi LIVE Awards. Symbolising victory of hope and tenacity, this award felicitates those who stood tall in the face of adversities and setbacks. In its second edition, the awards will celebrate the triumphant spirit of women and will acknowledge their remarkable achievements.
In the run-up to these awards, a two-part series of special one-hour episodes will telecast stories of women, who challenged social stigmas and taboos and chose the zeal of life.
The first episode features the inspirational stories of Ami Shroff, who defied Indian stereotypes set for working women and became a bartender at the age of 18; Hina Nafis and Uzma Nafis, who fought abuse and harassment within their conservative Muslim family and received higher education; Kiran Thakur, a lady bouncer at a night club in Chandigarh, who often has to deal with drunken men and women; and Hema Aziz, the brave mother of Kargil martyr, Captain Haneef Uddin, who fought for 42 days to get the body of her son back and started an NGO to help educate the poor and the needy.
