The financial results for the third quarter for HT Media have shown a positive growth. HT Media Revenues went up 5% in Q3 FY2009 at Rs 3,371 million, while maintaining strong readership growth across regions. EBITDA margins decreased to 15% from 21% reflecting the cost pressures and slowdown in the economy. HT Media maintains strong growth in readership.
As per latest IRS survey Round 2 released during the quarter show tha Hindustan, the third largest daily has gained the most among Hindi publications reducing the gap significantly with the country’s second largest daily. It continues to maintain its strong position in Bihar, Jharkhand and Delhi.
Hindustan Times is second largest English daily in India which continues its leadership position in Delhi NCR while witnessing a sharp upward trend in
readership in Mumbai.
