The ‘Hero Universe’ pavilion conceptualized & executed by Percept won the prestigious ‘Best Pavilion’ Auto Expo Excellence Award adjudged by NDTV CNB at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2014 held in Delhi.
Held for the first time at the Expo Mart in Greater Noida, about 40 km (24 mi.) north of the Indian capital of Delhi, ‘Auto Expo 2014 – the Motor Show’ attracted a footfall of over 5 million people. With a series of remarkable new launches, from youth-oriented 100cc motorbikes to a 620cc middleweight street fighter and futuristic concepts, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume, along with Percept ICE made a strong impact at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo 2014.
Percept ICE played a key role in conceptualizing and managing the highly ambitious Hero Universe pavilion design & launch concepts along with global partners Schmidhuber. In spite of a very stringent deadline and an action packed schedule, a world class pavilion was set up that attracted maximum footfalls and impact.
A mammoth 360-degree LED wall set up was an integral and dynamic design element of the Pavilion. The custom created animated content relived the Hero brand philosophy in every sense – “Unleashing Human Potential by Empowering the World with Mobility”
Hero along with Percept planned and conceptualized an innovative ‘Outdoor Riding Circuit’ amidst an electronic D.J Phoenyx performing. Riders attained an opportunity to test ride one of the bikes from the Hero Universe and zoom safely around the circuit. Each visitor had the splendid opportunity to share test drive videos with friends on Facebook.
The Twitter competition really picked up as soon as it was announced that one lucky person would get an opportunity to get autographed goodies from Ranbir Kapoor. Hero Throttlerz – the stunt riders also performed 5 exhilarating shows where they pushed all limits showcasing the capabilities of the bikes from the Hero Universe.
The proud collaboration between Hero and (Erik Buell Racing) EBR stood out loud and clear at the Hero pavilion with the EBR 1190RS and the brand new 1190RX sport bikes begin made available for public to view. The presence of Team Hero racers Geoff May and Aaron Yates added to the excitement. Hero also unveiled a trio of scooters through none other than Hero brand ambassador Ranbir Kapoor, developed jointly by its partner Engines Engineering of Bologna, Italy.
The indoor Pavilion was buzzing alive with visitors and catered to by a league of 40 highly trained professionals, equipped to handle all queries. Social Media was made an integral part of the visitor experience, with over 24,000 people registering with their Facebook profiles and letting their friends know which bikes are they checking out. Making full use of the RFID technology visitors took pictures with the plethora of bikes on the floor and made them go viral on Instagram/Twitter and Facebook.
