Global Advertisers launches 'Don't Drink and Drive' campaign

Mumbai: In 2011, Mumbai Traffic Police had registered nearly 15,309 drunken-driving cases, and 31st is the day when everybody was expected to have high rates of such cases.

Keeping that in mind, Global Advertisers put up hoardings at crowded areas in south Mumbai as well as Suburbs, a week prior to New Year’s Eve. All that Global and Harmony foundation wanted is to reduce ‘drink & drive’ cases, and to welcome 2012 with warm heart. When Traffic authorities’ disclosed that on 31st not a single fatal accident or injury due to drunk driving was reported, it can be said the initiative got the right results.

Sanjeev Gupta, MD, Global Advertisers says, “Our social initiative to curb drinking-n-driving has been very successful as we could help in preventing instances of accidents and injuries on the New Year’s Eve, considering large number of youngsters behind the wheels who are on the move on 31st December.”
