Former Team Anna member Kiran Bedi to appear on CNN's Talk Asia show

This week on ‘Talk Asia’, Indian social activist Kiran Bedi talks to CNN’s Sumnima Udas about what it was like to become the first high ranking female police officer in the country.

Now retired, the 63-year-old former UN police advisor and Ramon Magsaysay Award winner opens up about the ups and downs of her career, including how she reformed the once notoriously violent Tihar Jail in the 1990’s.

Recognized as one of the most admired women in India, Bedi also discusses her ongoing crusade against corruption in India, and why she does not want her daughter to follow in her footsteps.
