Former Ogilvy EVP Matthew Della Croce Joins MWW Group

MWW Group, one of top ten PR firms in USA, has announced that Matthew Della Croce has joined the company as senior vice president and deputy general manager of the company’s New York office. Della Croce will serve as a senior member of MWW Group’s Corporate Communications practice. In doing so, he will leverage 18 years’ worth of communications experience supporting major global brands, including JPMorgan Chase, ExxonMobil and UPS.

“An executive of Matthew’s caliber will be instrumental in accelerating the already strong growth of MWW Group’s New York office and our national corporate practice,” said Michael W. Kempner, president and CEO of MWW Group. “He has deep experience in all facets of staff development, account management and corporate growth. We intend to leverage that experience fully. He will be taking on numerous management responsibilities, helping to showcase the strength of the New York office, and fostering career development opportunities for our staff.”

Della Croce has executed award-winning communications campaigns on behalf of clients in numerous sectors, including DHL, ExxonMobil, Nasdaq, Sun Microsystems, Wells Fargo and BP. Global client communications campaigns under his leadership have received numerous industry awards, including the Gold SABRE for Top Corporate Image Campaign and the Bronze Anvil for Best Media Relations program of the year in the B2B/Financial Services category.

Della Croce comes to MWW Group from Phase IV Health & Performance Center, a California-based wellness/fitness start-up, where he was president. Under Della Croce’s leadership, the organization tripled in size, reaching profitability through the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing program, the initiation of a sales organization and revitalizing the company’s client service initiative.

Prior to Phase IV, Della Croce served as executive vice president and director of corporate and U.S. financial communications for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, where he generated more than $40 million in revenue for the firm. Before Ogilvy, Della Croce was a vice president in the Corporate Communications group at Fleishman-Hillard, as well as a director of Investor Relations consulting for Thomson Financial and the director of European operations for Georgeson & Company.

Della Croce has served as a regular keynote speaker at “Investor Relations Magazine” workshops at PRSA Annual Conferences, as well as a guest lecturer at Columbia University’s Masters in Strategic Communications program.
