A total of 5895 entries from 680 companies in 38 countries will be competing at Europe’s top creative advertising awards next month, an overall increase of 11% versus last year, and an all time record for the 21st Eurobest awards, which this year evolves into a 3-day European Advertising Festival. Without taking into account the new Design category, the increase is 5%.
“Once again we have a record number of entries participating in Eurobest with an increase in almost all the categories. We are particularly delighted to see the strong launch of the Design category, making it in its first year one of Europe’s leading celebrations of the creative use of design, said Philip Thomas, CEO of Cannes Lions, organisers of the Eurobest awards. “This year, with the launch of Eurobest as a 3-day Festival, delegates will not only be able to celebrate the best of Europe’s creativity in advertising and communications, but will also have the unique and exciting opportunity to hear about, learn, discuss and address the current issues facing the industry during the many topical seminars and workshops taking place,” continued Thomas.
60 leading creatives, designers and media professionals from 21 different European countries make up the 6 Eurobest juries. Judging will take place on-site at the Berns hotel in Stockholm, the venue for the 3-day Festival.
Attendees to the Eurobest Festival will be able to view all the entries, the shortlisted work as well as honour and celebrate the winners at the awards ceremony and after show party on the evening of Wednesday 3 December.
Eurobest Festival is pleased to offer a great range of networking opportunities which are included in the delegate registration package. To kick-start the Festival, on Sunday 30th November following pre-registration, the Swedish Advertising Association will be hosting a Welcome Cocktail Party between 6-8pm at the Berns Hotel. This will be followed by the Lydmar & Getty Images Söndagsparty from 8-11pm (space is limited and attendance is subject to confirmation of request.
