The 21st Eurobest awards, honouring the best creative European advertising across all major disciplines and which will now form part of the 1st Eurobest Festival, will be chaired by five of Europe’s most distinguished advertising and communication experts. Judging will take place on-site at the Berns hotel in Stockholm, the venue for the 3-day Festival.
Mark Waites, Joint Creative Director and founding partner of Mother, UK, will head the TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor and Radio jury.
Matias Palm-Jensen, Creative President of Farfar, Sweden, will chair two juries, the Interactive as well as the Integrated jury.
The first ever Eurobest Design Jury will be led by Sylvia Vitale Rotta, CEO of Team Creatif, France.London based Melanie Varley, Chief Executive EMEA of Mediaedge:cia has been appointed Media Jury President.The Direct and Promo jury will be chaired by Kurt Georg Dieckert, Chief Creative Officer of TBWA Germany.
Commenting on these nominations, Philip Thomas, Eurobest CEO said, “The first Eurobest Advertising Festival will be a great celebration of Europe’s best creativity in communications, we are therefore delighted to bring together such a distinguished, creative and skilled group of Jury Presidents who will lead the way in honouring Europe’s best ideas.”
Commenting on their appointments, the jury presidents said:“I’m very excited to be heading the TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor and Radio jury at this year’s Eurobest. Europe is huge now (I don’t even know where it ends), and covers so many centres of excellence that it’ll be a great show,” said Mark Waites.
Matias Palm-Jensen, President of both the Interactive and Integrated juries commented, “Europe is a melting-pot of creativity with Digital advertising being dynamic and explosive and Integrated being all about Big Ideas. I’m excited about these challenging times and proud to celebrate Europe’s best in my home town.”
On leading the inaugural Eurobest Design Jury, Sylvia Vitale Rotta said, “I’m excited to chair the first Eurobest Design competition. As creative people, we should award Design that is ‘Consumer Friendly’ to improve people’s daily lives; and just as with all the other forms of advertising, winning an award for Design produces an exhilarating buzz for the whole agency and its clients.”

Entries open online on the 28th of August. The winners will be revealed at the Eurobest awards ceremony on the evening of 3 December.
