The Integrated Communication Campaign includes PR, Print, Radio, Outdoor and Digital, aimed at reaching not only the general public but also the opinion leaders, stakeholders, government bodies, businesses and media.
To bring alive Italian experience in India ENIT – Italian State Tourist Board is organizing an elaborate 3 city exhibition events. The first exhibition event was held in Mumbai from 16 to 20 November, the second exhibition event will be held in Delhi and followed by Bangalore on following dates:
These 5 days exhibition encompasses various facets of Italy to entice the Indian travelers and create affinity towards Italy; the land of love, music, beauty, fashion, history, art, culture and gastronomy.
The exhibitions aims to showcase a kaleidoscope of Italian culture through various events like engaging performances, delectable Italian cuisine by renowned Italian Chef, Italian film festival showcasing Italian films, fashion show by top Italian fashion brands of Italy with dresses from the ’50s , 60s and 70s and ingenious Indian artists showcasing the Italian grandeur through their paintings and photography.
The five day road shows also arrange an assortment of interesting activities such as tasting workshops, seminars by Italian fashion and educational Institutes such as Marangoni, CPM Music Institute of Milan and Bocconi University, B2B meetings with Italian tour operators and their Indian counterparts and many other interesting activities.
Talking about the ‘Italia Comes To You’ exhibition events Dr. Marco Bruschini, Director General from the Italian State Tourist Board said “Through this exhibition we have made a strong push to provide an experience of the rich culture and vibrancy of Italy which caters to the likes of the evolving Indian travellers. We were overwhelmed with the response we received in Mumbai and are looking forward to a similar success in the Delhi and Bangalore”.
He further added, “India is an important market for us with a significant increase in the tourist arrivals of 1, 97,000 no. of travelers in the year 2010 for overnights equal to 4,61,000 overnights, as per the Official Statistics of the Italian National Institute for Statistics (ISTAT). In the last 5 years, Italy had a tremendous growth of 94% of Indian travelers going to the Beautiful Country. We aim to grow this number by strengthening our relations with our travel and trade partners.”
