Dubai.TV has hired MAYO Communications to help promote the first ever Celebrity Shoe (throwing) Drive set for January 10, 2009, Rancho Park Golf Course driving range, 10460 W Pico Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90064. The event is from Noon – 2 pm.
“No other non-profit organization has the range of social services to help the needy like the Salvation Army,” explained Dubai.TV host Janeen Mansour.
“MAYO Communications is the perfect choice for the assignment,” said Mansour. “And when they mentioned the Salvation Army as the charity, we were thrilled with the idea and were quite moved by the fact that more than 35 million Americans receive their assistance each year through the broadest array of social services.”
The Celebrity shoe drive is open to the public, and participants must sign in and bring a pair of new shoes or ones in good condition to throw. There will be a children’s, ladies’ and men’s competition for who can throw the furthest, and each category winner will receive the “Golden Shoe Award.”
