New Zealand : Draftfcb has been appointed agency of record for Maritime New Zealand. Four agencies were invited to pitch for the account.
The agency’s initial task will be to plan and implement a creative and media campaign to help encourage New Zealand boat users to adopt safe boating practices.
“Draftfcb was selected because of the agency’s expertise and track record in creating behaviour change in the New Zealand market,” commented Sian Routledge, manager education and communications, Maritime New Zealand. “We will be working with the agency to convince recreational boat users to adopt safe boating practices, including carrying and wearing life jackets.”
The account will be led by Paul Irwin, business director, Draftfcb and Donna Baylis, account director.
“We’re looking forward to making a difference to the safety of New Zealanders on the water, especially as we have many enthusiastic boat users at Draftfcb,” said Brian van den Hurk, managing director- social change, Draftfcb.
The campaign will be developed over the coming months and will be in market during the third quarter of the year. Maritime’s previous agency of record was Mission House.
