On 15th December 2007 students from India’s top management institutes will battle it out to win the much coveted DRAFTFCB+ULKA COMSTRAT trophy. Comstrat, now in its twelfth year is the first ever case-study competition in the area of communication, to be organized among management students in the country.
DRAFTFCB+ULKA Advertising along with the K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research has pioneered this concept. The uniqueness of Comstrat lies in the fact that unlike other case study competitions, which are in the field of general management, marketing, finance, Comstrat is the only competition conducted in the area of advertising and communications.
The rare opportunity of working on ‘live’ case studies on some of India’s leading brands such as Colgate Cibaca, Tata Indica, ITC Gold Flake, Bournvita, Parachute, TVS, Philips, Indian Oil Corporation, Asian Paints etc is what makes Comstrat a true challenge for these young aspiring managers of tomorrow. This year, the case study is based on a very well known automotive brand – Hero Honda Pleasure.
Comstrat 2007 too like the previous years received overwhelming response from management institutes across India. And the teams short listed for the finals are MICA – Ahmedabad, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies – Pune, N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies & Research – Mumbai, K.J.Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research – Mumbai, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management & Higher Studies – Mumbai, Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication – Pune.
The participants will be evaluated by an eminent panel of judges: Anil Dua, Senior Vice President – Marketing & Sales with Hero Honda Motors Limited, Dorab Sopariwala, eminent marketing research consultant and Sanjeev Bhargava, COO DRAFTFCB+ULKA, Delhi.
In addition to cash prizes the winners as well as participants will walk away with gift hampers from sponsors namely Cadbury, Garnier, ITC, Westside and ZOD!
