Mumbai :The healthcare arm of Draftfcb Ulka, India’s fourth largest advertising agency has brought Dr. Sushil Motwani on board as business head.
Draftfcb Ulka has a strong record of strategy-focused advertising that has helped build several iconic healthcare brands like Digene, Pediasure, Vicryl, Anacin and Brufen. Sushil brings with him a medical background, along with 12 years of combined agency and product management experience and a good understanding of what pharma marketing companies actually need.
In previous roles, Sushil steered many extensive communication programs with clients like Bayer Diabetes Care, Biogen Idec, Pfizer, Aristo, Novartis, Galderma and Lupin, working closely with the marketing teams to build successful campaigns to address the doctors, sales force and the patients.
The healthcare division of Draftfcb Ulka recently bagged Astra Zeneca’s Branded Generics business. AstraZeneca, an innovation-driven organization is now aiming at inorganic growth by launching generic brands in the international markets. Sushil will be spearheading the agency’s communication effort in this direction which would involve doctor communication developed in India for the international markets.
Draftfcb Ulka Healthcare has constantly invested in understanding doctor and patient behaviour, with proprietary studies and tools to measure the doctor adoption process and patient compliance issues. The agency recently completed a Digital Detailing experiment to study the receptivity of Indian doctors to digital format of detailing.
