Discovery Promotes Marina Anglim

Discovery Communications has announced the promotion of Marina Anglim to senior vice president, media planning and partnerships. Reporting to Chief Marketing Officer, Wonya Lucas, Anglim will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic media plans for Discovery’s 14 U.S. based TV networks, multiple digital media assets, and e-commerce division in the U.S.

“One of my priorities is to create innovative, breakthrough marketing approaches that harness the power of Discovery’s brands. All our marketing should reinforce our business goals and objective of being the number one nonfiction media company in the world,” said Lucas. “Marina is the perfect executive to help lead these efforts.”

In her previous role at Discovery, Anglim was responsible for providing marketing strategies for Discovery Channel and Science Channel. Under her leadership, both networks received full multimedia rebrands, including new and refreshed logos, taglines and advertising platforms, to support new programming slates and drive brand recognition.

Previous consulting work included brand campaigns for Vitaminwater and Equinox Fitness Clubs.

Anglim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
