Discovery Kids expands footprint in Sri Lanka

discovery-kids-logoExpanding its footprint in Sri Lanka, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific announced that its eighth channel – Discovery Kids will now be available on Sri Lanka’s leading satellite television services provider, Dialog Television.

Discovery Kids, the 24-hour kids’ entertainment channel will be available on channel Forty Three (43) on Dialog TV in Sri Lanka. The market leader in Sri Lanka’s pay TV sector, Dialog TV patronizes a long-term business association with DNAP.

The platform supports seven networks of Discovery in the country including Discovery Channel, Discovery HD World, TLC and Animal Planet.

Discovery Kids will replace Kidsco on the DTV channel line-up. This includes an exciting introductory offer where customers who activate the channel during the launch period will stand a chance to win exclusive merchandise from Discovery Kids. The channel can be activated at Rs. 99/-plus taxes for post-paid customers and at just Rs. 4/- plus taxes a day for pre-paid customers, making it a truly viable option in kids edutainment.

A unique network in the kids’ genre, Discovery Kids will offer children a fun and entertaining way to satisfy their natural curiosity and explore their world with stimulating and imaginative programming.

The network will ignite viewers’ imagination through its compelling and differentiated content.  The target audience for Discovery Kids is children between four to 14 years and their parents.
