Dilip Awasthi appointed Lucknow editor of Dainik Jagran

New Delhi:Dilip Awasthi has been appointed Lucknow editor of HIndi daily Dainik Jagran .He replaces Shashank Shekhar . Sources close to the newspaper say the new arrangement is the outcome of Jagran’s strained relations with UP CM Matawati.

Dilip Awasthi has three decades of experience in the field of print and electronic journalism. He has over 10 years experience as an Editor with English and Hindi newspapers, television and digital publications.

Mr Awasthi previously worked with India Today, Times of India and The Pioneer apart from contributing regularly for BBC Hindi service, Time magazine, Sunday, Onlooker, Sun magazines and newspapers like Free Press Journal, Sunday Observer and Weekly Current.
