New Delhi: Vetran television journalist Deepak Chaurasia,who recently joined national Hindi news channel India News has reportedly decided to revamp the leading media brand.
Sources close to the news channel said the channel management ( Deepak is believed to be the part of the new order ) has decided to replace present anchors with some well known television faces who are likely to join the channel.
” Not all the anchors are being replaced. Good anchors will continue to work and others will be transferred to the regional channels. Some senior anchors are also joining the channel shortly,” a source said.
Sources said some senior anchors from Aaj Tak, NDTV India, ABP News , Zee News , IBN7 and News 24 may join the channel as the management by introducing new talent is keen to push the brand to compete with well established channels of the news genre.
Unconfirmed sources said another senior television journalist ,Punya Prasun Bajpai, who recently quit Zee News may also join the channel . Deepak Chaurasia and Punya Prasun Bajpai worked together at Aaj Tak . The development has created ripples in the Hindi news channel genre which however is not much bullish and almost all Hindi news channels ,except a few , are in deep red.
The sourses said the channel is also organising a week long training programme for the new team members. .
