Phuket :DDB Group Asia Pacific was crowned Network Agency of the Year at AdFest 2011, Asia Pacific’s leading advertising festival, held in Phuket over the weekend. With a final tally of 25 awards and 13 finalists, the network dominated the awards show.
John Zeigler, Chairman and CEO of DDB Group Asia Pacific, Japan and India, said, “The recognition we received at AdFest was phenomenal. Winning 25 medals is a record haul for us. In fact it’s more than the last two years’ tally combined!”
“DDB China Group’s famous ‘Green Pedestrian’ picked up a Gold and a ‘best’ in outdoor – proving once again it is one of the most impressive campaigns to come out of Asia last year. However, it was DDB Group Singapore’s performance that really secured our number one position by bagging 12 medals and five finalists – including ‘Best’ press campaign and two Golds for ‘Coin Landscapes’ for Rough Guide Budget Travel Guide, as well as eight Silvers and one Bronze.”
DDB Group Asia Pacific is currently Spike Asia’s Network of the Year and was named Campaign Asia Pacific’s Creative Network of the Year in December 2010.
