Shanghai: For the second year in the row, DDB Greater China and Tribal DDB achieved top rankings in the 2010 CR3 China Agency report. Both ranked 8 (out of 9) in the newly released report, done by China Advertising Magazine and R3. The scores of 8 (measuring “excellent”) were given based on the agencies’ impressive performances last year that culminated in being named Greater China Agency of the Year and Greater China Digital Agency of the Year by both Campaign and Ad Age China.
The CR3 Report, a collaboration between China Advertising Magazine and R3, has been published for six years and is an annual ranking and analysis of creative and media agencies in China. The rankings are based on new business wins, creative awards, initiatives and performance, and face-to-face interviews with senior marketers in China. The CR3 Report is used as a benchmark to measure the core creative value of China’s advertising industry.
DDB Greater China Group was recognized for its significant accomplishments last year, from ranking third in the R3 New Business League, making multiple senior new hires to boost its management team, to winning more than 40 awards from prestigious international and domestic award shows including Spikes, Clio, Golden Seal, ADFEST, Effies, and One Show. The agency took home a Gold Lion at Cannes for its Green Pedestrian Crossing campaign, the second-ever one awarded to an agency in Greater China, and notched two Grand Prix awards at the UK Green Awards and China 4A Awards.
“We’re very proud to have received this ranking for the second consecutive year, which measures our excellent performance across all disciplines, beyond just DDB Greater China. We would like to thank China Advertising and R3 for their continued support. DDB Greater China Group has had a tremendous year in 2010 and we are looking to further our momentum this year,” said Dick van Motman, President and CEO of DDB Greater China Group.
