Dainik Bhaskar has announced to launch its fourth edition in Punjab . This edition will be printed from Ludhiana. The company D B Corp Limited , had earlier launched Chandigarh, Amritsar and Jallandhar editions.

D B Corp Limited in fact, wants to capture the financial capital of Punjab where its arch rival Dainik Jagran is already present. Dainik Jagran had launched its Ludhiana edition on 18th of January, 2004 .
Dainik Bhaskar’s entry into Ludhiana region will result into a fierce competition between the two Hindi newspaper giants. Ludhiana is also a TRP city (tv media) and is known as the financial capital of Punjab.
