CurtCo Media, publisher of international luxury lifestyle authority Robb Report and a family of magazines targeting the world’s most affluent readers, today announced plans to extend the brand’s global reach with the launches of editions based in India, Spain and Singapore.
The agreements mark the latest in a series of international expansions that includes previous launches in Russia, China and Turkey. These deals advance the company’s strategy to continue to develop an exclusive readership consisting of the wealthiest consumers in the world’s fastest growing economies, positioning the 32 year-old brand at the forefront of the well-documented rise in global wealth.
This international trend was detailed earlier this year by the Merrill Lynch/Capgemini 2008 World Wealth Report, which found that 10.1 million individuals worldwide held at least US$1 million in financial assets last year, a 6 percent increase over 2006.
Contributing to this increase were nations already addressed by the Robb Report international portfolio, including China, whose $1-million-plus demographic increased 20 percent during the 12-month period to 415,000 individuals, and Russia, whose figure jumped over 14 percent to 136,000 individuals. The newest editions of the Robb Report will reach the fastest-growing nation in the study, India, whose high net-worth segment rose 22 percent to 136,000 individuals; Indonesia, whose number increased 16 percent to 23,000; and Singapore, which boasts 77,000 individuals with $1 million or more, a 15 percent upsurge.
Scheduled to debut in the fall, Robb Report India unites CurtCo Media with India Today Group. Robb Report India will target the country’s most affluent readers, with a focus on luxury goods and services offered both internationally and in India. The publication will include existing Robb Report content, as well as information specifically for the Indian market.

The publication, which will be unveiled in the fall, will include existing Robb Report content, as well as content specifically crafted for the discerning Spanish marketplace.
