The Construction Writers Association recently presented its eighth annual Marketing Communications Awards at the organization’s fall midyear meeting, titled Smart Move-Gaining An Edge in Chicago. Ten awards were presented in three categories- Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Advertising -at the CWA Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 16, 2008, held at the Hotel Allegro. Entries were evaluated on the basis of editorial content, graphic design and effectiveness in achieving the stated marketing goals.
“To be able to stand up in front of our independent judges and present to them entries of the quality and quantity submitted this year is a true honor,” said Mike Anderson, Senior Editor, Construction Equipment, Reed Publications, chair of the 2008 CWA Marketing Communications Awards Committee. “It is a proud moment to see the judges collectively marvel at the entries.”
The competition showcases the best of the best in construction-related communications and is a prestigious acknowledgment that the work of these writers, through their various communication efforts, has met a very high standard of excellence.
