Cohn & Wolfe appoints Megha Sharma as AMD, India

Cohn & Wolfe, a leading brand communications agency, today announced the appointment of Megha Sharma as Associate Managing Director, India.

Sharma, who has led the Delhi office for the past three years, will now also oversee the Mumbai office, with responsibility for client and employee development, as well as new business. She takes over for Rafi Khan, who is leaving the company at the end of May. Sharma will report to Angelina Ong, who was named President, Asia-Pacific earlier this year.

Sharma joined Cohn & Wolfe in 2012 and has led client growth and team development across India, overseeing key clients such as Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, Wyndham Hotel Group, Cleartrip and Ruckus Wireless. She has been instrumental to the success of the agency’s India region, which more than doubled its revenues in 2014. With over 16 years of experience, Sharma has deep expertise in new business development and crisis management and has overseen high-profile integrated campaigns for a range of companies including United Technologies, Pratt & Whitney Military Engines, Philips, Lacoste, Vichy Laboratories, Wella, Air France and Boston Consulting Group. Prior to joining Cohn & Wolfe, Sharma was a Senior Vice President at Fleishman-Hillard, where she was responsible for the management and growth of the Delhi office.

“Megha helped establish our India operations and has done a tremendous job in building our offering and growing our reputation. I’m thrilled to have her in this new role to further drive our growth and success in this critical market,” said Donna Imperato, Chief Executive Officer, Cohn & Wolfe. “Given the enormous opportunity for us in India, we are also actively pursuing an acquisition to broaden our reach across the region.”
