Coca-Cola Unveils special edition Coca-Cola bottle

Gearing up for the second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) extravaganza, Coca-Cola as an “Associate Partner” of Delhi Daredevils organized a special send off for the team players. As part of the initiative, five lucky winners of Coca-Cola’s ongoing ‘Dilli Dil Se’ consumer initiative got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet their favorite cricketers of Delhi Daredevils- Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and Amit Mishra. Also present at the event were Akeel Mohamed, Vice President – Operations, Region North, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd (HCCBPL) and Mansoor Siddiqi, Director, Integrated Marketing Communications, Coca-Cola India.

Commenting on the occasion, Opening Batsman, Delhi Daredevils & Coca-Cola Brand Ambassador Gautam Gambhir said, “It feels great to witness the excitement amongst the city’s cricket lovers. I thank Coca-Cola for giving me an opportunity to be with my fans in Delhi. All the sides in the league believe in playing competitive cricket. The Twenty20 format is such that any team can win on their day. At present my aim is to give my very best for Delhi Daredevils and help the team win the IPL, 2009.”

To add to the excitement, a special edition Coca-Cola bottle was also unveiled sporting the insignia of Gautam Gambhir, the opening batsman of Delhi Daredevils team and Coca-Cola Brand Ambassador.

At the event Naresh Kapoor, one of the winners of the ‘Coca-Cola Dilli Dil Se’ initiative from Vasant Vihar, New Delhi said “It has been a dream come true for me to meet my favorite cricketers. All these years I have watched them in action on television but to meet them in person is a totally different experience. I thank Coca-Cola for making my dream come true. On behalf of all Delhites, I wish the Delhi Daredevils team all the best for winning the IPL.”

According to Mansoor Siddiqi, Director, Integrated Marketing Communications, Coca-Cola India, “Cricket is truly one of the biggest passions in India.
