CNNMoney.com has launched a new WAP-based portal designed to provide free access to the full breadth of CNNMoney.com content from wireless devices, regardless of their mobile provider.
CNNMoney.com Mobile features up-to-the-minute business news, stock quote lookup, market analysis, in-depth technology coverage, small business insights, and real estate news. The mobile site will also include access to the highest quality business video produced daily by a dedicated team of producers at CNNMoney.com.
CNNMoney.com Mobile is also the exclusive mobile home of FORTUNE, MONEY and FSB: FORTUNE Small Business, the most powerful brands of business and personal finance journalism.
New feature highlights include a versatile search function, with access to CNNMoney.com archives. A “Send Article” feature allows visitors to send stories that interest them to email addresses or other mobile devices by text message.
“The new CNNMoney.com Mobile platform allows users to access CNNMoney’s award-winning content where they want it, and when they want it,” said Jonathan Shar, General Manager of CNNMoney. “Given the vast growing number of business professionals that rely on mobile devices to stay connected, we created a user-friendly experience that allows executives to seamlessly stay up-to-date.”
CNNMoney.com Mobile collaborated with Cisco, the world’s largest networking firm and an industry leader in wireless mobility solutions, to debut optimal banner advertising offering personalized experience, based on the user’s specific mobile device.
Cisco was the first B2B technology company to offer streaming mobile video. Cisco Mobile was a Top 5 Nominee in the 2007 WebbyAwards.
