CNN-IBN to air half hour episode on Public Service personalities

New Delhi: With the stage set for the biggest award in Indian media, CNN-IBN India’s most awarded English News Channel, brings together Public Service luminaries, who have brought tremendous change within the society through their efforts. The special half hour episode will feature various Public Service personalities nominated under this category. The special show will be aired on Wednesday, Dec 15th at 10 PM on CNN-IBN.

The nominees for the prestigious CNN-IBN Indian of the Year ‘11 under Public Service category are Anna Hazare and team for leading an unprecedented uprising against corruption and changing the nature of political discourse in India. Subramanian Swamy for sheer diligence, doggedness and consistency in pursuing the 2G scam, which finally forced prosecution to take action, Vinod Rai , CAG of India for being a rare bureaucrat who stuck to an audit report which highlighted unprecedented government corruption and Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network for outstanding work in helping the women of Manipur, who undergo trauma because of violence in the conflict-hit state.
