Bobby Pawar designs a kirana store’s campaign on Bloomberg UTV

Mumbai: India’s premier Business news channel, Bloomberg UTV brings in Bobby Pawar, Chief Creative Officer, Mudra, to a small time kirana store on Assignment 2. His assignment was to design an advertising and marketing campaign to increase the sales for a local kirana store in Shirdhoon village near Panvel in Maharashtra.

Bobby, staying true to his working style, has not taken this assignment lightly. He has visited the village, and met the villagers, understood the ground realities – the consumers, their aspirations and the competition. His tagline “Panvel Jaise quality, Panvel Jaise Daam” is based on the insights he gained during the visit and is expected to drive traffic to the store.

Bobby, keeping in mind the necessity of spot offers to spike sales devised an innovative promotional offer for the day of Rakshabandhan. “Any lady from the village coming to the store on the day of Rakshabandhan would get a 10% discount on any purchase they made”. The offer was a stupendous success as the store saw its sales double on that day. On the Rakhi day, the entire women folk of Shirdhoon village flocked to the store to tie rakhi to the shopkeeper and to avail 10% off.
