BIG FM observes World Anti Tobacco Day

Kanpur/Agra : The radio arm of Reliance Media World Ltd, 92.7 BIG FM, India’s No.1 FM Station, keeping with the vibe of the city this ‘World Anti Tobacco Day’ organized an awareness campaign which included BIG FM’s team giving ‘Health Wise Policy’ to people caught smoking and also making them aware of the ill effects caused by the consumption of tobacco.

Agra station organized a rally as a part of the awareness campaign. Over 150 people participated in the rally which comprised mainly of youth and volunteers. Started at 6:00 am, rally concluded at Paliwal Park, where youngsters presented a skit on ‘Say bye to tobacco’. The activity received an over whelming response. RJ Akhlaq interacted with the gathering and told them the side effects of tobacco.

As a part of the awareness campaign, BIG FM Kanpur in association with ‘Reliance General Insurance’ issued a certificate to those found consuming tobacco. The main idea was to make them realize that if tobacco consumption is done on the regular basis, would certainly lead to ill health; BIG FM out of Life Banao aspect issued health covers to people ignorant of their own health.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagmeet Singh Bahri – Cluster Head – U.P said, “It has always been 92.7 BIG FM’s endeavor to do things that positively impact people’s lives and this is an extension of the same. Tobacco consumption has always been a growing concern and hence to enhance the awareness BIG FM has organized this Anti Tobacco campaign in the cities like Kanpur and Agra. Reliance Health Wise Policy was quite apt in encouraging people to think of their own future and be responsible. It has been a true ‘Life Banao’ opportunity for our listeners on this ‘World Anti Tobacco Day’.”
