BIG 92.7 FM has Announced World Music Day Initiative. The FM Major will showcase the musical talents of singers and musicians across genres of music, be they renowned, upcoming or aspiring artists on World Music Day. ith this latest initiative being the Vibe of the City, BIG 92.7 FM will take interactivity to a new level altogether truly living upto its brandline of ‘Suno Sunao, Life Banao’. It has lined up tons of interesting interactive initiatives, a mix of on-air talk shows, contests, call-ins, live performances and on-ground events surrounding music across stations.

As a pre-cursor to World Music Day, BIG 92.7 FM, Kolkata organized a ‘Ganer Adda’ hosted by RJ Koushik. The luminaries present to spice up the Adda included Shivaji Chatterjee, Arundhati Homechowdhury, Lopamudra, Nipobithi, JOJO, Rupankar and Cactus, a leading rock band of the city. The mix of different genre of musicians of different era and free flowing Adda really brought a BIG smile on everyone’s face, including listeners and media! Listeners of BIG 92.7 FM, got to hear Antara Chowdhury on the BIG CHUMUK in an ADDA with Shubhojit, the lead vocalist of the band Lakshmichara followed by the much- admired Rupam, Rupankar and a host of others during the day.
In Delhi, BIG 92.7 FM will present the ‘Feel The Music’ – gala musical evening at the ‘West Gate Mall’, Rajouri Garden. Delhites can look forward to some thrilling performances by not only celebrated singers from the industry but also by some very talented visually impaired children. The station will also offer some great on-air content for its listeners starting from a ‘Favourite Category Voting’ contest wherein listeners will vote for their favourite 100 Chartbuster Song of a specific category, to announcing the most popular number and playing them, listeners will have it all.
BIG 92.7 FM, Mumbai will go ‘Tak-Din-a-Dhin with BIG KaanSens’ this World Music Day, with India’s leading crooners lending their voice for a back-to-back hourly performance at the Oberoi Mall, Goregaon. This musical extravaganza, also welcomes Mumbaikars favorite season, the monsoon with BIG 92.7 FM RJ Rishi & Rohit going live from the BIG Booth set up at the venue hosting the city’s favorite shows’ ‘Chal Kalti Maar’ and ‘Mumbai Much Much’. There will be contest played all day long at the BIG Booth giving listeners’ an opportunity to win couple passes to a monsoon weekend getaway.
BIG 92.7 FM Bangalore will celebrate the day by playing top 100 Kannada songs on-air, involving listener interaction. On the day, renowned musicians Harshal and Mehul will be on-air from 7 am till well past midnight, entertaining the listeners along with BIG RJs. Show contents will involve discussions on various singers, singing styles, different genres of music, interesting trivia capsules on Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar and other leading personalities from the industry, song dedications etc.
