Mumbai : While ‘Waka Waka’ and ‘Wavin Flags’ were the official and unofficial anthems of the FIFA soccer World Cup in 2010, the ICC World Cup 2011 is also seeing a fresh air of ‘anthems’ dominating the airwaves. The BIG World Cup Album has been endorsed by 92.7 Big FM across its national network of 45 stations & will continue to play out through duration of the World Cup. Big Digital has also ensured that the anthem sees its rightful promotion in the online space & with mobile operators as well. OOH Media has also been roped in to splurge the anthem in key locations in Delhi & Mumbai.
Along with the contribution of the renowned singer Bikram Ghosh from Kolkatta, also known for his composition in Little Zizou, the anthem will -see some big names like Nawab Shernaz who is Pakistani pop singer, he is well-known for his composition “Only Love” which was selected by International Olympics Committee – Beijings Olympics 2008 Torch Relay in Islamabad, DJ Rishi Singh A famed DJ from Delhi and Pramod Tripathi, a well know music director, singer and guitarist. His latest offering “yes I love you “which is sung by Shaan is still No 1 on charts.
The title track of the BIG World Cup Anthem, with its foot tapping beats and its aim is to unite India under the common desire of winning the world cup will win the hearts of listeners . It is the voice of the cricket lovers which has found expression through this unique and catchy number. The album has 8 tracks, which will be released digitally.
