BIG 92.7 FM Announces festive plans for Listeners

BIG 92.7 FM has launched ‘BIG Ne Bana Di Lohri’ contest, wherein listeners need to identify the sequence of three back-to-back chartbusters played on BIG FM. The on-air contest will see winners celebrating Lohri with their favorite jocks – with the dholi, sweets et al, in true traditional style.

BIG 92.7 FM Chandigarh will celebrate Lohri with Jaspal Bhatti visiting the station and playing interesting Lohri games with listeners. The celebration will be called ‘Dulla Bhattie’ Lohri celebrations. The listeners will also get a chance to win gift vouchers and hampers through out the day.

BIG FM Jalandhar has planned special surprise as BIG RJs will be visiting few lucky listeners’ residence to celebrate Lohri and make this festival truly memorable for them. In an on-air contest, listeners will be requested to send in their request to celebrate Lohri wih BIG RJs. Post short-listing, BIG RJs will visit winner’s homes and play Lohri with them and will also ask for ‘Lohri Money’ (traditionally, some money is asked as ‘Lohri’). This money will be donated to the poor and needy in the city.

Amritsar Station will host a kite flying event & a cultural evening to celebrate Lohri along with some fun on-air contests.

BIG 92.7 FM Patiala will celebrate Lohri with the families celebrating their first ‘Lohri’. An on air BIG Jodi (Couple) contest will be played, in which a ‘Best Couple’ will be selected through various rounds of contesting.

BIG FM’s Allahabad Station will air live bytes from the ‘Sangam’ mela which is organized during Sankranti. People across the country throng the city to take the holy dip in the ‘Sangam’ and pray tribute to the Ganges. BIG will give live updates from the venue along with interviewing top officials.

BIG FM’s Rajasthan, UP and Haryana Stations – Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Agra, Bareily and Hisar have also planned some great celebrations for the ‘Sankranti including Kite Flying festival, on-air music contests, ‘Cooking’ contest and sweet distribution for the poor and under-privileged.
