BIG 92.7 FM Surat in its incessant aim to give the best of entertainment to its listeners will now give a real dose of cricket for the corporate of the city. Starting from February 21, BIG FM has launched an innovative tournament with 7’s concept – 7 players, 7 over’s, shorter boundaries and other innovations to ensure that the games are both competitive and fun. Various corporate teams including Essar, Niko Resources, Span Diagnostic, LIC, Dawer Silk Mills, Inch Embroidery, BIG 92.7 FM, Rotary Riverside club surat, etc. to name a few have already played and moved to the next level. The tournament will conclude with a gala ceremony on 8th March 09.
Starting with 6 league matches each day, followed by 4 quarter finals and 2 semi-finals, the tournament will conclude on 8 March with the announcement of the ‘Best Corporate Cricket Team’ and ‘Corporate Cricket Player’ other than ‘Man of the Series’ and ‘Best Bowler’ awards. With the best teams of the city challenging each other, the tournament is sure to create a stir in the city.
To promote the tournament extensively, BIG FM has planned both on-air programming and on-ground promotions including ‘Live Cricket Float’ at prominent locations, Outdoor Broadcasting links, to print Ads in various leading dailies and local TV integrations. BIG RJs will also promote the tournament by doing live shows from various locations.
‘City Sports’ has joined hands with BIG FM as main sponsor of the campaign along with other partners like Gujarat Mitra (Media partner), Hind TV (Cable Partner), Sosyo (Beverage Partner) and Coffee Culture (Food partner).
