“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices,” a Google Spokesperson said.
Google is offering a tool to test whether your website is mobile friendly.To check your site quickly and for free, in Google’s search box type in: “Mobile Friendly Test”. Click on the appropriate search finding. Type in the URL of the site you’d like checked in the box provided and click on “Analyze”.
If the results are good, congratulations, you are good to carry on without penalties. However, if your website needs help, just send us an e-mail requesting a summary of our solutions. Until your site is made mobile friendly, your overall rankings in Google will drop as will the number of searchers who seek your website.
