Pacific Quay, BBC Scotland’s headquarters in Glasgow, has won the British Council for Offices (BCO) Scotland regional award in the Corporate Workplace category. In giving the award, the judges said they were impressed by the way the technical space at Pacific Quay was combined with office areas to produce a creative interactive environment.
Chris Kane, Head of BBC Corporate Real Estate, said: “Our vision is to provide the right workplace, for the most creative organisation in the world. Pacific Quay embodies this vision, and I am delighted it has been recognised by this important industry award.”
Situated on the banks of the River Clyde, the 34,000 sq m digital centre, designed by leading international architect David Chipperfield, has set a new standard in terms of state-of-the-art technology, production methods and public access and has played a central role in the regeneration of the wider urban area.
