Asianet Gets Cisco Powered Network Status

Asianet on Thursday announced that it has been awarded the Cisco Powered Network designation for deploying an end-to-end Cisco® and Scientific Atlanta solution for delivering Digital Cable Services. The Cisco Powered Network (“CPN”) program is a co-marketing program involving leading service providers with networks built on Cisco’s industry-leading technology.

Utilizing Cisco’s powerful network technology in its digital cable service infrastructure, Asianet continues to be a leading force in the digital TV space. The end-to-end digital video solution provided by Cisco and Scientific Atlanta includes a Scientifific Atlanta digital headend, Integrated Receiver Decoders (IRDs), encoders, PowerKey® CAS, digital set-top boxes and Cisco CMTS and IP optical transport technology.
