Aegis Media, recently taken over by Dentsu in India, is one of the largest global media networks. Its three agencies are nominated for the categories India Media Agency of the Year (Carat India & Vizeum India) and India Digital Agency of the Year (Isobar India).
Commenting on the achievement, Ashish Bhasin, Chairman India and CEO South & South East Asia, Aegis Media, said, “This has been a really brilliant spell of 3 years for Aegis Media in India and 2012 has been particularly fantastic. It is great that in the Campaign “Agency of the Year Awards”, scheduled to be held in Singapore on 10th December, for India, there are three agencies shortlisted for the “Media Agency of the Year” award,”.
“What we are really happy about is that two of them, Carat India & Vizeum India, are from the Aegis Media India Group. Further, Isobar India has also been shortlisted for the “Digital Agency of the Year” award. It really feels great, from a standing start, to have brought these businesses up to this level where the industry is recognizing them. Late 2008, when we launched Aegis Media in India and we revamped the existing Carat operations we had approximately 48 people in the group. We now have 448 Aegis Media India employees and this fantastic growth, in turnover, profitability, number of people and world class quality has only been possible because of the superb team that we have been able to build. I am very proud of each and every member of the Aegis Media India team. It is great to be ending this year on such a high”, Ashish Bhasin added.
