‘Munni’ and ‘Makhi’of Dabangg visit Radio One studio

Mumbai : After winning the appreciation, accolades and hearts of many with her incredible and sizzling hot song “Munni badnaam hui”, Malaika Arora Khan aka ‘Munni’ along with her Producer husband, Arbaaz Khan aka ‘Makhan Pandey’ visited the studio of 94.3 Radio One, the station with the ‘Maximum Music, Maximum Choice’. The duo visited the music station to talk about their latest home production Dabangg with the enthusiastic MJ Hrishi.K.

It indeed was maximum fun on-air as Malaika spoke about the wonderful family that she has been married into and Arbaaz spoke about the liberties that the editing team had even while making the film; including the promos that is the foundation of any film to connect with its audiences. Malaika also shared exclusively for the listeners of 94.3 Radio One anecdotes about working with the Khan brothers who maintained the perfect balance of professionalism and fun during the shoot.

Reacting to the news that the collections of Dabangg on the 1st weekend beat the record of ‘3 Idiots’ 1st week collection, Arbaaz confessed that he was dumbfounded and shocked to learn the fact. He said that he strongly believes that 3 Idiots was a great film that was loved by all; no one ever imagined that their film could ever come close to making similar collections like 3 Idiots. But he was happy that fortunately, Dabangg had received great interest from day one; all thanks to the great promo, the fact that there was a newbie, the film has great music and to top it all it had Salman… which indeed worked for the film to be a success.

Speaking about the newbie, Sonakshi Sinha, Malaika said, “I remember mentioning this about Sonakshi, I said that I really like her. I have met her couple of times and thought that she was the perfect choice for ‘Rajo’”. Which she sure was… agreed MJ Hrishi.K.

On being asked if it was a conscious decision to release the movie as an Eid special, Arbaaz clarified that it was not the intention but history had proved that Eid indeed was a lucky day for Salman. He also hoped that all Salman’s forthcoming projects would release around Eid and it would be known in the future as ‘Salman’s day’.

So all you enthusiastic listeners, tune in to 94.3 Radio One every morning from 7 to 11am for your daily dose of music and confidence with MJ Hrish.K.
